Sleep Deprivation - don't believe that you have to suffer it.
Adequate sleep is a vital life source and necessary for the human body to be able to fully function. Whilst asleep our body and brain is rejuvenated, the energy and essential reserves tapped into during the day are replenished and our body's natural hormonal & chemical balances are also restored during this restful time. Sleep deprivation in toddlers and children continues to increase and sadly has some very serious and far reaching consequences. The problem is that sleep deprivation is accumulative and whilst the odd late night for ...

Baby Bottles I recommend

Baby Bottles I recommend
In my book (page 61) I mention a brand of bottle however I have since discovered something far better!! In my opinion the Mam anti colic bottle with screw on bottom and silk teats are just great. The teats have just the right sized holes , the replacement air is sucked in through the bottom of the bottle and not through the cuff thus avoiding putting air bubbles into the milk.  The silk teats mimic more closely the Mothers nipple both in texture and shape and the teat hole sizes much better suit most babies.  The larger teat holes a...

How to Sleep- is it that Simple?

How to Sleep- is it that Simple?
There isn't really any “training.” It’s just sleeping. You don’t need to train a human being to sleep because we are already designed to do so. It does take some time for a new-born’s circadian system to mature, but after 8 to 10 weeks or so, a baby is capable of long stretches of night-time sleep. My day at Mini and me - Meadowhall

My day at Mini and me - Meadowhall
Wow, what a day it's been for me - meeting so many babies, toddlers, mums, dads, grandparents......and even the taxi driver wanted to know how to get his 18 month to sleep better! I travelled to Sheffield from my London base yesterday and stayed overnight in a hotel alongside the canal. It was such a beautiful evening and I enjoyed an evening stroll by the water, watching and soaking up all the sounds, sights and views of Sheffield, which I think as a city, has so much to offer. Everyone is so friendly and my time spent here has been a really ...

A story from Australia - how Alison helped

A story from Australia - how Alison helped
Alison has clients all over the world and we had this wonderful message all the way from Perth, Australia. Dear Alison I am writing to you all the way from Perth, Western Australia. Call it fate or divine intervention, but I somehow stumbled across your "from screaming to serenity" post on Facebook last week. I too have a little girl exactly like the one you talked about. I quickly private messaged you on Facebook, but also downloaded your eBook and read it within hours. For the last 15 weeks I have been the most miserable, anxious, s...
